How To Style A Silk Scarf

If there’s one accessory that will elevate an outfit with minimum effort, it’s a silk scarf. Elegant, classic and always in style, silk scarves can make a simple outfit feel put together, and best of all, you can tie them anywhere — in your hair, around your neck, even on the handle of a bag. Here, we demonstrate three ways to wear an Assembly Label Silk Scarf.

The Neck Tie

There are endless ways to wear a silk neck tie, for any outfit and occasion. To style a classic scarf knot, fold the scarf half-ways into a triangle shape and secure around your neck with a knot at the back. You can turn this into a front knot tie by, as the name suggests, tying the knot at the front. Instead of securing the scarf at the back, wrap the ends of the scarf back around your neck to the front and then tie the knot. To show off a little more of the silk scarf’s printed design, simply wear it draped over your shoulders — think of it as an updated silk shawl for spring. Fold the scarf half-ways into a big triangle shape and drape the ends over your shoulders. If you can, secure the ends to jacket lapels with two pins.

The Bandeau Top

More than an accessory, a silk scarf can be styled as a summery top. A bandeau is the easiest to tie: fold the scarf half-ways into a big triangle shape and secure the two ends at the back. This will create a beautiful strapless bandeau silhouette and show off the scarf’s design at the front.

The Hair Accessory

A silk scarf also makes a chic hair accessory. To style it as a headband, fold into a long slim band, position close to your hairline at the front and secure in a knot at your nape. A silk scarf will also elevate a simple ponytail. Fold the scarf into a long wide ribbon shape, tie around your ponytail in a single knot and keep the lengths of the scarf long.
